The Fifth Generation

Lynx Lyra Seraph
Glory glory, I've made it half way through this poxy legacy. I'm already sick of it, and I want to start the next. I have plans, see? Plans!
Oh my, Pictor Seraph doesn't register as family for Lynx. He's your second uncle! That's kinda not right. Pyxis entered the terrible twos. He's an Aries, just like his dad and two older sisters, and rocks 7/9/9/7/3, just like Lynx and Lyra. Lyra also capped out her charisma. Demeter passes away and Lyra turned into a child. Pyxis capped out on logic, and also turned into a child. 13 rules and it's still too easy. Phah! Even the ghosts don't cause much trouble, even though they haunt every night. To make a memorable night, I sent Lynx out to the plaza to run into her fellow neighbors and mingle. She met her aunt, Lepus and Pheobe, Persephone and.. that's it, really. The plaza is a little cramped. I should do some remodeling. Later, though! Because Lynx hits the barbershop next. There she meets Selene and the two hit it off quite well. Ericka Grove, the evil witch, drops in and Lynx pounces on the opportunity to meet her. They also hit it off well. Lynx is an incredible pop sim. With the fast friends buff, she's unstoppable. The two are friends within a minute of meeting. While Ms. Witch is getting hustled by the Unsavory Charlatan, Lynx makes her way to Goopy Gils Carbo, a handsome fellow, despite his fashion sense. They get acquainted, but after a little bit, Lynx is getting hungry and sleepy and it's time to head home.
When she gets back, Mother Dearest turns into an old bitty and a foxy one at that. Eeeee! Heeheehee! I made Lynx plan to sneak out with Pictor tonight! I've never done this. I hope she doesn't get caught. She unsuspiciously studies fire safety while Columba and Artemis head to bed. Dwah ha hahahahaha! Pictor picks her up in a limo! The two took off for a few hours and Lynx came home around 2 or 3am to find her elderly parents still asleep. Woot! She got away with it!
Lyra becomes a teenager and rolls a-...shit, where's my dice? Eff, I'll use my phone dice. She rolls a 3. Gracious, she even looks like her sister. At least they have different aspirations. Columba is invited out on an excursion and I send him to the Crypt-o-Night Club, which is my default place to go. He went stag, as Artemis was on the phone with Reticulum. He took the mandatory photo with Tethys and ordered everyone lobster. Somehow, during the evening, he and his long-time co-worker Kana developed feeling for each other. A harmless crush, seeing as the man is in his golden years, and Kana is a young woman, yet. On account of that and some other mingling that had nothing to do with dancing, Columba actually got a good outing score. Second from the top, whatever that is. Now he can do what he's been feigning ever since dinner, clean up the dining tables.
Lyra capped out all her skills, and in three days, Lynx will join college. I'm hoping Pyxis will have adequate skill points to join her and Lyra. Fucking hiccups. Well, he's got at least 5/10 in all of them. That's enough for college. Hmm, Lynx heads off to college without even a want for it and everyone in the house is too busy to even notice. Pyxis teens and rolls a 5, just like Lynx, and Lyra also heads off to college, having topped all her skills, as well.
Woops, I accidentally hit first kiss on Pyxis and Pictor, forgetting that they don't register as family. Ah! Well, never mind, he'll forget all about that when he goes into college... hopefully. Alrighty, Pyxis is also skill capped. Off to college he goes.

College. And the kids can't use electronics. Influencing people to do their term papers should be covered. Gotta take out fire alarms, and stereos, though. Among other things. I'm set, here we go.~
Lynx, Lyra and Pyxis go back to their roots and dress like traditional aliens, Lyra meets a sweet young man, and the two quickly become enamored with each other. The cafeteria lady, Jaiden, has a penchant for setting the stove on fire, and since I have no fire alarm, there is a high risk of mortality for her and the room mates. Ahh, yes, see. There it goes while the kids are taking their finals.
Maura Shehan much have been suicidal because she just ran straight into the fire without looking back. Lyra's boyfriend, Griff dies, and Dominic, Pallas' old college lover boy crispifies. I tried to keep my babies away, but for whatever reason, Lynx stopped working on her tea set to go investigate. It cost her her life. Lyra and Pyxis hung out in the hot tub, when just the night before, Lyra made love to Griff, now deceased,  in said hot tub, unbeknownst to Pyxis.
The fire finally died out 7 hours after it had been started. And by some miracle the cafeteria lady who started it survived. The death toll is still being counted. 10 people. 1 kitchen fire. Look at that. I could have prevented Lynx's death with a ceiling sprinkler. It's not in the electronics section. Oh, no, because of that fearless handicap, never mind. Lyra and Pyxis got to cleaning up the catastrophic aftermath. They cried a lot through this.
Lyra found a new beau, though. Aspiration fodder, since she's a Romance sim. Nice guy doesn't even throw a fit when she flirts with othre people. Let's see. I should probably pick a new heir, eh? Since I was kinda plannin' on using Lynx, but she's dead now. I think I'll pick Lyra. She's been a lot of fun. That might be the romance in her. Since Lynxs death, Lyra and Pyxis have grown so close to each other. That's lovely.
Lyra has caused quite a commotion among the male dorm mates. Oh! Time for rerolls. Pyxis tolls knowledge, and Lyra rolls romance again. Shoot. Grilled Cheese it is, then. -sigh- So I can't do anything aspiration related until hers does down enough to revamp her. Pyxis' new LTW is to become the Hand of Poseidon, Oceanography track. That's doable. I haven't unlocked it yet.
He switches his major to biology and we're set. Now for Lyra. Hmmm. Art major's fine, we'll get that fancy camera for the family. I love that thing. Or I could go into Paranormal, get the death phone and bring back Lynx. Still undecided. Lady Zombeh's. Sexeh. Philosophy seems like a good major to explore a paranormal career. Oh. Speaking of zombies, I'm reminded of one such zombie who just happens to have an affinity for grilled cheese, as well. Crius Cygnus, ladies and gentlemen. Oh yes. I wonder if zombies can have babies. Amazingly, the two have 3 bolts of chemistry, naturally. Of course, their date was dreamy and before the night was out, they had 'relations' in the photobooth. I wonder if there's a dezombifier potion.
Pyxis rolled Romance as his secondary aspiration and has been kicking up some sexual dust of his own. Poor kids been caught cheating twice on different people. I should really pay attention to who might be watching I will say. Pyxis grew up freaking awesome! I still think Lyra will be a lot of fun, too. So the kids are back home. Hmm, should probably stop calling them kids. Lyra has these special powers now that she's grilled cheese inclined. She can summon grilled cheese sandwiches from thin air and eat them in one gulp. Very handy for eating on the go. Okay, so zombies can't has babies. There's still the possibility to dezombify Crius. (Is that cheating?) Lyra can't be heir if she can't have babies, and I don't know of any other grilled cheese sims in my neighborhood. Let's see if Mensa can make a potion like that. Nope. No such potion. Well balls! Oh! Maybe I can bring back Lynx with the Magic lamp. Let's see. Shucks. Why can't Pyxis bring her back? That's nuts. Nuts!Alright, fine, Lynx is gone forever and Lyra can't have babies with the man of her dreams. Which means Pyxis might have to be the next heir and omigosh, he is such a freaking slut! Right, so he went on a date with Pandora and they had sex in a public hot tub. I mean, yeah, I made a neighborhood bath house, but I really thought of it as a place for kids. Kind of glad kids don't go to community lots without their parents, now! Then after the date Pandora went home, Coeus started putting the moves on Pyxis. He's a father! Did Pyxis care? Oh, no. He's all like: I'm down with that, Daddy-O. Sicko! I had them play marco polo before things got out of hand... and then he and Eos get stuck in the pool somehow.... Great! Now he's going to die! Stupid pool. There's nothing i can do! Just... watch... him pee in the pool. Not that that stopped people from diving in! Maybe I can bring him back w/ the genie. Great, I managed to kill off two of the 4th generation kids. It's a dangerous world out there, folks! Faulty pool ladders, incompetent cafeteria women. Why are there no life guards in this game?! So people outside see him drowning? I dunno, they certainly could see it if they looked. Several days later, he's still drowning. And he's still trying to stomp on cockroaches. Hmm. Wednesday... He's still alive... but he has no energy. Who knew Marco Polo was such a dangerous game? I hope Eos and the others don't die. He should be dead by now, right? He's been drawing energy from the universe! He can't die here! It's now Thursday. I'm exiting, this is crazy. A man can't live a week in a pool, that's just silly. I lost the date with Pandora and a lot of swimming and suffering. I went back to that bath house and put 5 of those pool ladders in that bitch! They can't all glitch, right? Here's hoping.
Back home the stairs leading to the 2nd floor are glitching as well, so I added another staircase. Lyra also went to a community lot, praying her voyage didn't turn out as disastrous as Pyxis'. She met Andrea and Perses Cygnus and had two bolts for Perses. She has three for Pallas! Hurray! She can have babies! At home, Pyxis gets stuck on the glitchy stairs trying to make the master bed (which is already made). This is ridiculous! Pyxis is broken.
Lyra's first date with Pallas went extremely well. Sometime during the date, though, Pallas rolled the want to get parried to Mensa Seraph. I didn't know they were such good.. oh wait, that's who I tried to match together. That's right. Well, I suppose I could get him to supply the next generation them marry him to Mensa afterwards.
Pallas quickly asked Lyra out on a date again. They went to the botanical gardens. They had another marvelous date, and had sex in the photo booth. Lyra was beaten up by Mrs. Crumplebottom there after. It was glorious!
Pyxis, having been freed from the grips of the evil glitched staircase, got a job in Oceanography. Feeling daring, I took him out unto a community lot, the Cafe, nothing could go wrong there, right? He met Themis and had two bolts for her. Then he went to the barber shop and met Theia, the two had three bolts. They had a dream date and I felt good. Theia needs a lover boy after Columba messed with her heart. Cool, we have our spouses/sperm-doners.
Lyra reached the top of Intelligence and I forgot that's the career I put her in, waiting for the paranormal job to come up. Heh, too late now. She then promptly gave birth in the parking lot to twins. Two boys: Corona Borealis, the Northern Crown and Corona Austrina, the Southern Crown. Lyra invited Pallas over for a farewell romp in the hay and the woohoo was successful. Pallas is now free to marry Mensa. (And they did, and had two beautiful children, a boy and girl, thus adding to the minor population of Ebonwood. I forget their names.)
Austrina grew up into a Scorpio, 10/7/9/6/3, and Borealis, a Virgo, 10/2/9/7/3. They both appear to Artemis and Lyra's nose, Woohoo! And Lyra goes into labor again, this time to a single child, a girl, Coma Bernices, Bernice's Hair.
Pyxis reached the top of Oceanography, becoming the Hand of Poseidon! Wait. Poseidon's dead. Well, then! Lyra has a completed her business.
Lyra Seraph
Being a spy is romantic, isn't it? I guess that's why I chose the field. All the deception, the mistrust, the danger; it's beginning to seep into my family life. If you can call it that. The father of my children couldn't handle it. He left, found a better woman, got her knocked up as well, but she's happy about it. I had three kids with him. Kids who are as strangers to me as... well, I am to myself. What kind of life if that for them? Their grandparents are all they know. That's good. There's a lot of love there.
I thought this life would be glamorous. It's cost me so much. My parents couldn't understand it. Why I'd choose this path. It's simple. I had to. Call it revenge. I guess, bare bones, that's what it is. For this life. It wasn't supposed to be mine. It was supposed to be my sister's. You may not understand. It wasn't just that she was the oldest. She was the glue, the linchpin that kept the family together. Everyone loved her. Including me. To me, her death simply could not have been an accident. These sort of tragedies don't happen to our family. Other kinds, yes. That damned curse, for one. We had enemies. I knew that. And I was determined to discover the villain who took her away from us.
My determination started with the old men of the Cygnus family. The abominations, Crius, Oceanus, and Hades. I knew from Grandmother Camelopardalis' memoirs that Oceanus would be the person to talk to. He being her lover, and all.
It would be sometime later when I accepted that our poor Lynx's death was an accident, but by then I was so deep into this life, and there was no way out.
